Lakisha graduated from Western New Mexico University with a Master of Social Work degree. She is currently a Licensed Master Social worker. She has worked with children within the schools, interning with a dropout prevention program. She has experience working with survivors of domestic violence, providing case management and therapeutic services. During Lakisha’s 18-year career in the Air Force, one of her duties was as a volunteer victim advocate for survivors of sexual assault.

Lakisha started her career at Justice Works in January 2019 as a Clinical Therapist. She was promoted to Program Supervisor in July 2021. In December 2021, she was promoted to Regional Program Director.

She has always wanted to help others and connect people with the resources they need, which led her to a career in social work. She believes in advocating for what is right and working towards making things better wherever she is.
