Life-Saver In Westmoreland

Recently, Westmoreland County Children’s Bureau Casework Nick Purnell commended our FRS Brandi Petho (to her supervisor Amber Leonard) for her quick thinking and preparation in knowing a mom’s license plate number which resulted in successfully intervening in a suicide attempt. Amber, I wanted to thank you for the kind words. I really appreciate that and you're right, unfortunately we don’t hear that enough in our line of work. However, the real star here is Brandi!! Brandi takes the time to listen to each member of the family to understand the family dynamic in the household. With this...

Transporting Success in Westmoreland!

Dear Carrie, I would like to take the time to let you know what a wonderful job Erin Ware did communicating on one of my cases. She was amazing and so great to work with. I called her so many times and she always made me feel like it was no big deal and assured me that everything was handled. Sometimes changes occurred daily and she made everything run smooth. I have never met her; but, I would really like to treat her to lunch one day soon. She has made my job easier and in my eyes she is an unsung hero. Thank You so much! Jan Carnicella Hi Carrie, hope the move is going smooth! I wanted...

Gratitude from a Lehigh County Caseworker

Dear Renee, I just wanted to let you know that Whitney Berrio conducted a great FGDM for a family of mine. Her hard work and commitment to the process has helped to secure resources for a teenager, so that he will not end up back in the foster care system. She has earned the trust of the family, to the point where they were willing to come to the table together and put aside their differences, to discuss the needs of this teenage boy. Her support and belief in the FGDM model helped the family to develop a successful plan for the future of this young man. You are very blessed to have a...
