The foundation of any agency’s audit success lies in the cultivation of a robust culture of quality work.  This starts with leadership!  From Day one of Lisa’s tenure as the Director of Indiana County , she has stressed program standards and adherence to all services we deliver to our Counties.

While audits often cause anxiety and concern, there are instances, when an agency defies the odds, successfully completing an audit with zero compliance issues.  And that is exactly what Lisa and her team have accomplished for our SWAN services.   On May 30th 2023, JusticeWorks had their audit for SWAN services.

Melissa from the Department of Human Services states,” The files reviewed were well kept, organized and contained the required information as well as strong documentation. The profiles reviewed provided a clear overview of the families and children. The files contained all necessary information to address the needs of the specific family or child. The Department found no areas of non-compliance. The Department finds that Justice Works Youth Care Inc. meets the health, safety and well-being of the children and families who are provided services. “

Lisa mentions “We have clear guidelines for this service. Our team understands the significance of quality documentation and we have embedded this practice in our daily operation for all of our services, this includes training, supervision, good communication, and collaboration with our families and partners.”

Completing an audit with zero compliance issues is a remarkable achievement that reflects JusticeWorks’ unwavering commitment to best practices.  Such an achievement not only fosters trust among stakeholders but also sets a benchmark for others to emulate.  Ultimately, continuous quality improvement and dedication to the work, strengthens the development of the youth and families we serve.

Well done to Lisa and the JusticeWorks SWAN team!
