Butler Independent Living Youth Shine During Site Visit
JusticeWorks Butler County held their yearly Independent Living site visit by video conference on 5/7/20 through the PA Child Welfare Resource Center (CWRC). Three IL youth and five JusticeWorks staff were present, along with the Butler County Program Specialist and Administrator. Dan Heit: Funding must continue to ensure help for abused children

JusticeWorks YouthCare serves families within the child welfare system and youth on juvenile probation. We also operate alternative high schools for students with behavioral problems. Based in Pittsburgh, we work in 45 counties throughout Pennsylvania. No Distance Too Great
On March 13th, 2020 Pennsylvania’s Governor Wolf made the difficult decision to close schools for a two week period due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The school closure is now effective throughout the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. This mandated closure affected our three alternative high schools for disruptive youth: Compass Academy Mt.
