Mackensie planted seedlings that we hope will become part of our garden in partnership with 4H.

JusticeWorks Butler County held their yearly Independent Living site visit by video conference on 5/7/20 through the PA Child Welfare Resource Center (CWRC). Three IL youth and five JusticeWorks staff were present, along with the Butler County Program Specialist and Administrator. Staff fervently shared unique group and individual activities they have offered over the course of the past year. The youth were extremely engaged and expressive throughout the site visit – so much so that the Zoom conference mute button was in full force! The youth described a Butler IL team of passionate and effective staff who met and exceeded their IL and personal needs! The CWRC representative referenced several positive outcomes including an increase in youth obtaining driver licenses and permits, multiple partnerships with local places of employment for youth, and a total reduction in county-wide placements. The CWRC representative concluded the IL site visit stating that “JusticeWorks Butler County and their partnership with CYS sets the gold standard of IL services in the Western part of Pennsylvania”!

Outstanding job JusticeWorks Butler! Keep up the great work of positively impacting youth across the county, and setting the bar for the state!
