A Mother’s Letter to JusticeWorks BehavioralCare: Kudos to Amanda Harmon and Kacee Cleveland
(A letter written from a parent to Amanda Harmon, State-wide trainer for JusticeWorks BehavioralCare, regarding her daughter’s successful transformation with assistance from Kacee Cleveland, Behavioral Interventionist). Jane's BI is absolutely wonderful! She has the perfect background. She has a great understanding of Jane's problems, where they stem from and how to change the behaviors. She is a great teacher. I finally understand Jane and have so many more tools to work with. Kacee is reliable and trustworthy. We really thank God for her. She is a true answer to prayer. Jane's anxiety...
The Sunshine State Welcomes JusticeWorks FL!
This past year, our President and CEO, Dan Heit, was invited to Hillsborough County in the Sunshine State of Florida, to discuss needed services for the public school system. The School District of Hillsborough County is one of the largest school districts in the United States. In collaboration with Wansley Walters (Ballard Partners), the former Secretary for the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice, a detailed plan was created to improve attendance; behavior, parental involvement and graduation rates. We were gratified that the Florida legislature endorsed our plan by earmarking...
Praise from Union County Children & Youth Services!
(A note from a Union County Children and Youth caseworker) I just wanted to drop a note to Thank you Alisha (Bedford) for all the hard work and dedication you have shown throughout the Jones case. The effort that has been displayed has enabled this family to move through some significant hurdles. I believe the education JusticeWorks has provided this family will enable them to be successful should they choose to utilize the information that your team has provided. This is not an easy family to work with but I can honestly say that their behavior and trust of Agencies has improved since...
Tragedy Strikes Staff Member
We were all grief stricken to learn of the hideous murder of Darnell Williams, husband of our Beaufort SC staff member Tasha Williams. Mr. Williams was the victim of an apparent random murder as he prepared to board the boat (at the embarkation) to get to Daufuskie Island where he works. Mr. Williams was known and respected as a fine, hardworking man devoted to his family and church. Tasha has been a valued member of our South Carolina team for several years. This unspeakable crime has left Tasha widowed, their 5 children fatherless and their grandchildren will never know their wonderful...
Dauphin County: “A Hope to Dream” Program Selects Two JusticeWorks’ Families!
Kudos to Marva Brown of our Dauphin County team for making this holiday special for two families. Marva is working with two families that have been in need of home furnishings due to financial hardships. Marva knew of a non-profit program that Ashley Furniture Co. funds called “A Hope to Dream.” This program provides bedroom furniture and bedding so that all children can have a safe and warm place to sleep. Marva wrote letters to Ashley Furniture Co. about the families, and they were chosen to receive the services from “A Hope to Dream” program. Thank You Marva for representing the spirit...
