Ty graduated with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Messiah College in 2012. Upon graduation, Ty immediately started working for a residential treatment facility as a direct care counselor. After gaining experience there, Ty moved to work in an autistic needs classroom and served as a caseworker in a day treatment facility. He also served as a supervisor for a weekend wilderness program designed at getting “at-risk” youth out of their comfort zone and into the wilderness.
In April of 2015, Ty joined the JusticeWorks team as a Family Resource Specialist in Lycoming County. He served in this capacity for several months and eventually became the supervisor. When Compass Academy – Lycoming opened their doors, Ty moved into the school supervisor role, overseeing the daily operations. He looks forward to his new role as Director of Education for Compass Academy – Lycoming and continuing to grow the Violation Initiative Program (VIP)® in Lycoming County.
