It all started with a referral from CYS in regards to three boys and their mother, who were homeless. After a court hearing, the three boys became dependents of Pike County Children and Youth Services as there were no parents able to care for the children.
On May 3, 2011 we received our final approval from the State of South Carolina to begin operations as a provider of rehabilitative behavioral health services and enroll in Medicaid. Joannie went into foster care on August 24, 2009. The reason why she went into foster care was because her father did something that he shouldn’t of done to another child. So in September I got involved with Children and Youth, I had a lot to do to get Joannie back.
Since its inception in 1999, JusticeWorks has taken seriously its obligation to accomplish our promises and to meet the goals of our public sector contract partners. To that end, we have routinely and rigorously measured the results of our services. We’re pleased to report on our program activities for 2010.
